Hello Spring Fashion Statement 2016

Posted By on May 16, 2016

It’s also the time, when we, girls , begin to wear more dresses and skirts, because of the warmer weather . Today I would like to show you  my black dress look, and talk a little bit about fashion history…

I choose midi dress with pleated skirt and v-neck. By the way, pay attention to v-neck : it’s suitable for all figure types, and always looks womanly. Pleated skirt of the dress is also a good idea, as I can wear it while walking with my baby and feel myself absolutely comfortable, in the pencil dress it could not be possible. For the same purpose I wear these flat chelsea boots, they are excellent for everyday life. Tights with stars? Why not! :) They make look more vivid and funny.

The waist of the dress is decorated with the belt, and it makes visual difference between bust-waist-hips. I suppose this “difference” is a key to look attractive and womanly. Do you know , what fashion designer used it in his creations?  In 50’s Christian Dior created a new dress model , called “”New Look”, that emphasizes bust-waist-hips. There were two classic dress shapes of the 1950s. The most popular style today is the full skirt, tea length dress. The less popular but very classy look was the form fitting sheath dress (called a pencil dres). Both styles had modest, snug fitting tops with narrow high waist lines, and shin length skirts.

If you are interested in this fashion epoch I recommend you film “Cry-Baby” with Johnny Depp, where you can find all styles of 50’s : New look, Rockabily, Teddy Boys…. For me , 50’s is a time of chic and elegant people, epoch that admires and inspire. A lot of models of clothes of 50’s are still actual or used as details and tendencies  in  modern designers collections…
